MICHAEL NORTHCROFT SHOWROOM

The key to success here was attention to details – and a pinch of engineering mind for a puzzling project!

I was commissioned by Michael Northcroft, a high-end furniture designer and maker in London.

I was given carte blanche to create a 3 square metre frieze and floor to adorn the entrance of the building. The difficulty resided in the implementation of a massive stainless-steel logo within the mosaic floor. The challenge was to obtain a perfectly levelled and seamless floor…

And it did!

Materials: Ceramic and iridescent tiles, stainless steel metal logo.

Dimensions: 3 square metres

Year: 2014

Client’s feedback

When I found Nathalie’s work on Internet, I knew I wanted to work with her. At the time, I was refurbishing an old Victorian building that needed a serious makeover. I had just commissioned a magistral hand-made metal door from Italy, and I wanted a quirky mosaic floor and a frieze to counterbalance the austerity of the brick walls… and Nathalie just did that!

She came up with a modern yet retro design which perfectly complimented the walls and the door. The addition of the mosaics made such a difference to the façade… best investment ever!

I have really enjoyed working with Nathalie, she is very professional, creative and delivers in time and in style!
