official launch of the anomalie studio gallery - palma de mallorca

On Thursday 13 November, ANOMALIE opened its doors to the public for the very first time. It was such an amazing openig: many visitors came, and many stayed. They lingered, talked, circled back to the works. From the middle of it all – moving from one conversation to the next, catching fragments of reactions and smiles – I felt that something alive was happening in the space. I am not sure this is the best words to use but this is what it felt!

Rather than describing that evening myself, I’d like to borrow the words of someone else. It might sound a little strange to lean on another person’s beautiful phrasing, but this time it feels exactly right. Sometimes another eye, another voice, captures the atmosphere more clearly than the artist ever could in such moments.

So I would like to honour the words, the time, and the appetite for art of Andrea Amelung, an amazing artist and also and ex Berlin gallerist who shared her impressions on social media the day after the opening. Her message held up a mirror to what I am trying to create at ANOMALIE. I felt seen; her words touched me.

In the lines that follow, I will let Andrea speak. Through her eyes, you may catch a glimpse of what ANOMALIE is becoming.

“Anomalie is an invitation to embrace the unexpected.”

"The moment I entered “Anomalie - from minds to hands”, I felt the rare energy of an artistic encounter that defines itself instantly. Nathalie Vin does not create mosaics in any traditional sense. She builds a visual intelligence that transforms within every fragment. Her works seem to breathe, drawing the viewer into a world that is both ancient in spirit and strikingly avant-garde.

Each piece grows from a deep inner logic. The materials respond to her touch, the colors shimmer, the structures develop a language of their own.

Throughout my career I have met many artists, yet it is uncommon to witness a vision as clear and as boldly poetic as this. Nathalie Vin shows that a mosaic is not made of stone, but of mind and rhythm and imagination.

“Anomalie” is an invitation to embrace the unexpected, to enter a new order of seeing.

This exhibition is a celebration of creative courage, of craft and thought and dream. With “Anomalie”, Nathalie Vin sets a milestone. I am grateful to have witnessed it".
