MULTIVERSE

What was there when there was nothing?

What triggered this burst of Cosmic egg, rippling and expanding wave after waves to create our Universe… our Multiverse?

Named also the “Singularity”, we may well be living in a multiverse made of countless universes, each and everyone full of copies of each of us… and that for every choice we made there are versions of us who made different ones, and that for every lost opportunity there is a whole other universe where we took a chance.

I like the idea that somewhere out there, there is a version of Mankind inventing the wheel, reading books, admiring and respecting nature, a world where gods and goddesses are not providers and punishers but guides, like stars in the sky…

Although inspired by scientific theories, this piece, Multiverse, is an imaginative realm representing the fusion of two separate ideas: The origin of the 'Concept of Time' - starting with the central Point Zero, and the 'Now' - symbolised by a 'Computer Era' in the foreground. In between, Evolution is invisible and belongs to our own imagination.

Multiverse has been exhibited at the Hellenic Foundation in London and at The international "Picassiette" biennial in France and won a "special distinction" - 2014
